Everything You Believe Is A Lie - Grasshopper

What if you woke up tomorrow and found out that everything you believe . . . was a lie? How would you live the rest of your life?

That’s a question I asked myself over the weekend. And I’m still chewing on the answers. Yours might be different than mine . . . but they’ll be worth exploring.

When you ask that question, it forces a shift. A shift that will head you in a brand new direction.

There’s an old saying: “If you always do what you always did, you’ll always get what you always got.” Our old beliefs keep taking us to the same place over and over again. And sometimes? That place is a dead end.

So if you’re tired of arriving at the end of the road to nowhere, start looking at the beliefs that got you there. Pull them apart, one at a time. See which ones are blocking the sun. Then . . . open the curtains and let some of that disinfectant in.

Think of it like a mental housecleaning. You know how closets get . . . stuffed with things you don’t use, don’t need, but still hang onto? Same with beliefs. Some of them are just taking up space. They’re not helping. They’re weighing you down.

A belief is just a thought you’ve held onto for so long, you’ve given it a promotion. It feels necessary and permanent. But is it really? Time to do the inventory. See which ones are causing the fever, and which ones offer a cure.

You have a choice: you can lie to yourself for the rest of your life. . . and suffer the consequences.

Or you can open yourself up to inspection and arrive at that turning point known as inflection.

All the best,

John
